I heard many years ago that politicians should never wear a funny hat in public because it always comes back to haunt them. Now I guess we have to add goofy shoes to the list of political no no's.

LOL, thats what I was wondering. I have see my gradfather and father (both retired mulitary officers) attempt to leave the house in stuff like that. My mother and gradmother nip those attempts in the bud by redressing them in more suitable attire...
